I’m Officially A Master’s Graduate!
Hiiii friends…..
Wooohooo! I did it! I’ve finally completed my Master’s degree in Fashion Marketing. It’s been a long road, a tough one, one with many bumps along the way, one that even included a whole pandemic (talk about a rollercoaster year). In 2016 fresh out of Clemson University, I moved to New York with zero plans, zero job prospects and zero idea of what I really wanted to do. I thought once I graduated with my Bachelor’s in Communication Studies that I would be able to conquer news journalism.
The reality was that I had no clue what my true passion was. Although I finally landed an internship working with great people at the end of 2016, I didn’t love it. I was lost and took up teaching tennis full-time in order to sustain my life in New York City. Tennis has been apart of my life ever since I can remember and I thank God for giving me skills to grow into my tennis teaching job. After seventeen years, though, of giving my life to a sport that has given back so much I say ‘catch ya on the flip side’ as I embark on a journey with newfound knowledge and love.
I’d also like to thank everyone who has supported me on this journey. From my friends who were proud of me for taking a step out of my comfort zone, my mentor and boss at Carolina Herrera for showing me the ropes and being a constant advocate for my talent and my family for teaching me that if you shoot for the moon, you’ll land among the stars.
