Where Have I Been?
Hiii friendssss…..
Long time no see. I’ve been gone for a while and I sincerely apologize. It’s been a few tough months as I navigate my career journey. I recently re-enrolled into graduate school. Some of you may know that almost 4 years ago I was accepted into the Boston University School of Journalism, a big feat and something that I was hugely proud of. I was gutted when I decided not to attend as I was thinking my Communications degree would gradually take me into the field of Journalism…….

That, however, was not the case. I soon realized journalism was, in fact, not something I was as passionate about as I thought I was. While I figured out what I truly wanted, I decided to continue pursuing blogging and dabbling around on social media as my passion project/side hustle/most intriguing hobby.

That’s when I knew. I wanted to go back to school. School is not for everyone and I don’t recommend that everyone choose that path, but for me in order to feel completely confident about something I want to know everything I need to know about it.
I recently enrolled into LIM College (notable for being the school that Beyoncé’s stylist graduated from, yes THE Beyoncé) as a Fashion Marketing Master’s student and I’m so fascinated.
I knew that doing something I love would be worth the very struggle it took me to get there, but what I didn’t know was how freeing it would be.
Not only am I super pumped about what I’m currently studying, I also landed a dope internship with fashion powerhouse Carolina Herrera. I say all this not to brag but rather to let you know that while I haven’t been online as much, I have been thriving offline and if you are in a similar position as I am: just keep going. Even though, some days you’ll be very lost and directionless, in time the compass will align and you’ll find your way. I promise.
