Wynwood & The Salty Donut

Hello from Miami!!

I’ve been basking in the Florida sun for the final days of the year. Being a native Floridian definitely has its perks because while the rest of the country is shoveling snow from their driveways, my hardest decision is whether to wear a halter top or bandeau in December. (How lucky am I?)

Today, I visited the Wynwood Art District and The Salty Donut. Wynwood is the hippy part of Miami that gets thousands of tourists everyday.

The graffiti-filled walls marked with random sculptures, artsy objects and vibrant colors attracts residents & visitors alike.

Of course, one of my best friends and I had to stop at The Salty Donut, a delectable cafe that sells creatively-put together and delicious donuts comparable to the district it lies in.

I had the Guava & Cheese donut and must say that it was the best-tasting donut I’ve had in awhile. I was skeptical about the combination of guava and cheese in a baked pastry, but you only taste the savory guava and the frosting on top didn’t hurt.
