Exploring London

Since I am nearing the end of my time here in England, I wanted to give you all a quick update of the craziness that has been my life the last five and a half weeks. My best friend and I hopped from Eastbourne to Nottingham to Birmingham for a series of women’s professional tennis events in which she played to warm up for the big one here in London, Wimbledon. We hadn’t really gotten much of a chance to get around and wander through the cities, but we really wanted to take advantage of the last few days we had here in London to do some much needed exploring. We love London, but truly bless the people that live here because this weather is CRAZZZYY.

We went out of the house and everything was going well, it was sunny and absolutely gorgeous and from the pictures you can tell I was even wearing my sunglasses. We went to eat lunch (at this amazing Vietnamese restaurant in Clapham Common) and next thing we know, all of sudden it gets incredibly chilly but, nothing too unbearable. We took the train to London Victoria to go check out the Buckingham Palace, which is without a doubt one of the most worthy attractions in London. HEY TO THE QUEEN {if you’re reading this}! And literally, it starts pouring. My friend didn’t even bring a proper jacket and we didn’t have an umbrella, so we were a hot mess! My feet were wet, she was freezing so we got a couple of pictures at Buckingham Palace and got the heck out of there.

We ended up at a fish and chips place before we headed to the Apollo Victoria Theatre where we saw the musical “Wicked”. I highly, highly recommend anyone in London to go see that play. It’s AMAZING! The way they sing, act, dance and do all three at the same time is incredible to me! The amount of talent in that entire room was insane and I’m so happy I got to witness one of the coolest shows here in London! Even though, the weather was not the best, all in all London is an incredible city with so much to offer. If you love having endless things to do even while it’s raining, London is where it’s at.
